ST. TAMMANY ART ASSOCIATION, May 2008—present
Board Member—assist in the hanging of art for juried shows, volunteer at special events, attend board meetings, etc.

BRUNNER GALLERY, November 2004 to March 2005
Curator Assistant to Rick Brunner—documented, labeled, processed and transported artist’s work, discussed historical perspectives of art with potential art buyer’s, helped facilitate art openings (i.e. lighting and hanging artwork, etc.).

ART APPRENTICESHIP, 1995-1996
Worked under Renee Chapotel and Paulo Dufour—Renee Chapotel: prepared building components for jewelry making, instructed in the basics of the craft of metal-smithing. Paulo Dufour: interned in the art of glass cutting while under his mentorship as a student in the Talented Arts program.

LEGATO GALLERY, 1994-96

Gallery Assistant to Victoria Moore—sold personal artwork (i.e. jewelry), helped facilitate art openings.

Participated in the Fairhope Arts Festival in Fairhope, Al. I was awarded three awards during the festival: Award of Distinction for Sculpture, Eastern Shore Art Center Jury Award, and a Patron Award for Sculpture.

HARBOR SHIPPING AND TRADING, M/V Chios Venture and Chios Dream May, 1998 to August 1999,

CADET/A.B.– Bridge Watch: conducted voyage planning, maintained charts and publications; aided in preparation for U.S. Customs and Immigration & U.S.C.G. Arrival Manifests; traveled extensively through South and Central America, including Mexico, Panama, Guatemala , El Salvador , Columbia , Venezuela ,Trinidad and the Dominican Republic.

ASSOCIATED BRANCH PILOTS, November 1999 to October 2004, Apprentice Pilot—Conducted research and development of communications reports; offered logistical support in the coordination and movement of all vessels transiting the Southwest Pass and Gulf Outlet of the Mississippi River; managed multinational crews to move vessels safely and efficiently on domestic waterways; handled communications between various pilot groups and numerous agents and other entities concerning the business; learned all aspects of the operations of the business in order to acquire and maintain an Unlimited Tonnage Pilot’s License for the Mississippi River.

• Certified Louisiana First Responder by the Louisiana Health and Hospitals Bureau of EMS; Certified by the U.S. Coast Guard in Basic Training in Firefighting, First Aid, Personal Survival and Personal Safety
• Certified in terrorism identification, alertness and related crisis management
• Licensed to pilot ships from Southwest Pass sea buoy to Mississippi River Mile 95.7 AHP and on the Mississippi River Gulf Outlet and South Pass
• Certified in Bridge Resource Management by the Maritime Pilots Institute
• Certified in basic radar plotting, navigation, and collision avoidance for inland waters, as approved by the U.S. Coast Guard
